I feel like you are America’s English teacher like Sharon McMahon is America’s government teacher!! lol I love the content you put out. You always put ideas, books, articles on my radar that I had no idea about. I love the way you articulate your viewpoints on things!!! Thank you for all your hard work! ❤️
Here to say that I loved Syme’s Letter Writer! It’s a gorgeous book and a delightful read. I have definitely upped my correspondence since finishing it and it has brought me so much joy to send mail to friends new and old and so much fun to get cards and letters in the mail.
Personally I think the answer to the question : where are all the white male millennials is that they are making podcasts.
And since writing and reading novels has become a female dominated pursuit, they just bowed out. No one is keeping them out. The same way no one is keeping them from becoming nurses, or carers. It's just not lucrative and prestigious anymore so they are not interested.
I like and agree with JK Rowling. I’ve noticed as a Latina that it’s white, privileged women who want to boycott others for not towing the liberal line. As a Mexican, it’s hard to relate to you. You should have more diverse opinions and diverse books that don’t always tow the leftist view.
As an adult who was also formative shaped by the HP books for more than a decade, I agree with you so much on these points. It was also a shared love for me and my now-deceased grandmother, so even more emotions are tied to the whole franchise. Since her nasty, hatred-fueled underbelly has been exposed, I have had a hard time even looking at the books, let alone re-read them - a once beloved pastime. I haven't found a way to broach the subject yet with my 8-year-old, but I was looking forward to sharing them with her one day...now, not so much.
Love the changes you're making to this post and Margin Notes sounds interesting too! Very excited about your PSRG and Liz and Maddie's additions
Thanks, Renee!
I'm so excited for summer reading (not summer sweating but that's ok).
Haha...fair!
THIS.

This is so kind! I'll wear that mantel proudly!!
So excited about the new PSRG additions here and over in Patreon! Also loved how you reframed End Notes.
Thanks, Jess!! I really appreciate that!

This is so great to hear! I definitely want to give it a try!
The quote from Irvine Welsh in the Guardian article about Conduit is 🔥.
So good!
