Happy Friday, readers!

And happy end of the month (is that something we say even when the month went by in a blink?!). First, if you missed it, my Friday Mood Recs went out early this week. Oops! This week I shared books that feel like fall to me along with my go-to fall uniform and what I hope to purchase and watch this season. You can access all of that through the link below.

September has been a rollercoaster of a month for us. We started with a visit from my Novel Pairings cohost Chelsey and her family and then moved from that highlight into a long stretch of infrequent childcare. While Lou is in school three half days a week (which helps a ton!), not having my mom around as our go-to support was tough. My husband and I spent a lot of days taking turns entertaining the toddler and she ate that up. The month was filled with Botanic Gardens picnics, hikes, zoo visits, and playground trips because it is hard for anyone to get anything done with our little bundle of energy around. That made for a lot of truly magical moments this month, but, also, we’re tired!

My reading was also rather up and down in September. I finished reading for my Fall Fiction Compendium in the first third of the month and then wasn’t quite sure what to pick up next. Then my audiobook listening broke! In today’s In Summation, I’m sharing a little more about that and how I settled into a new reading rhythm.
