And I think us northern Midwesterners get so so excited anytime anyone writes books about our world because so few people do it, and even fewer do it well. Especially about rural communities in this region. We can tell in a second when an outsider writes a book set in Wisconsin or Minnesota or even when a city dweller tries to write about small town life 😉
