I feel that pain re: going back to Instagram again and again, Sara ~ it's so hard! I finally cut the cord on Friday night and deleted the app from both phone and iPad. Even though I had barely been using it for months, it felt good to announce I wouldn't be posting any more and just ...... leave. I know you'll find your own balance in time ~ it took me many attempts :-)

I started deleting Instagram from my phone on the weekends. I think I got this idea from Erin Moon of The Swipe Up. It's been more challenging now that we have the Taylor/Travis coverage and all the post game pictures on the weekends. I'm not sure why I'm invested in the content but I'm mesmerized like everyone else.

Right there with you! I think we all need something fun and low stakes to get invested in right now!!

Deleting Instagram may be the single best thing I did this year. Deleted it in March and haven't looked back since! 10/10 recommend.

That Instagram pull is a strong one! I too am trying to cut back. Some days are easier than others. 🙂 I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Trust Exercise. I didn’t care much for the book when I read it, yet it’s stayed with me and now I think back on it with fondness.

Ok, I feel this screen time thing so hard. I’m feverishly trying to finish creating my course for parents about helping their children become joyful, thoughtful readers. And as much as I hate it, I have to market on Instagram. But I KNOW I can be strategic with my use of the app. It can be so great and helpful sometimes! But it can also be the literal worst and make me feel awful. I’d rather spend my phone time reading the smart pieces about Swifties! Or actually being with my family IRL! Ugh! (So, yes, I appreciate this newsletter!)
