Reading in Public No. 49: A day in the life of a public reader

In which I don't read nearly as much as I'd like

Hey readers!

A few weeks ago I saw a bunch of day-in-the-life posts circulating around Substack, and decided to join the trend fashionably late!

I feel weird about this post because I do not think my day-to-day is interesting at all. But I also know how nosy I am and how much I love to read about the minutiae of other people’s lives. It was actually really fun to document this. I was surprised by how much time some things took and how little time I spend on other tasks. It felt very meta to think through how I think through my day. Overall, this ended up feeling much more like a post for me than for others, and I really enjoyed it!

Because of the personal nature of this post, I’m putting it behind the paywall. To balance things out, Friday’s Mood Recs will be free for all this week.
