Hey, readers!
June was a fantastic month! Our Nuggets won the NBA Championships. We went to several neighborhood gatherings (if you read my April In Summation, you’ll know how huge that is for me!!). We explored literally every museum we could think of and caught up with new and old friends who were passing through Denver. Yes, we still all got sick, but it was mild. Yes, we had a tough stretch with lots of work and zero childcare. But June was a good one and I’m so thankful for some extra fun summer time with Lou before she starts nursery school in the fall!
I also had an incredible reading month, catching up on tons of new releases I had put off while working on my Paperback Summer Reading Guide. June felt like a bit of a break month for my project reading before I start reading for my Fall guide in July.
This month I was also reminded of the importance of leaving my comfort zone—both literally and in my reading life, and today I’m reflecting a bit on that in today’s post.
