Hey, readers!

The highlight of this month was undoubtedly my wonderful trip to NYC for the Aspen Words Prize ceremony. I had so much fun staying at the Library Hotel with my mom and Louise, and it was so special to be able to honor authors I love and celebrate a prize I truly admire. I loved meeting writers, readers, and book world professionals and getting to feel like a real part of that world. It’s easy to feel on an island writing my newsletter and recording podcasts here in Denver, and I enjoyed feeling connected to the industry.

I was also so proud of Isabella Hammad and thrilled to see her take home the prize. Enter Ghost along with her debut The Parisian are wonderful books and she is an outstanding literary voice on the rise. Enter Ghost is so deserving of the Aspen Prize, and it you haven’t read it yet, this is your sign to pick it up soon!

Beyond thrilled for Isabella Hammad and her incredible book, Enter Ghost.
