Friday Mood Recs: Most anticipated books of January and my no-frills top ten

Two years ago (I think?) I started sharing my no-frills top ten on Substack. I love doing my top new releases with Liz Hein, my top backlist books read (forthcoming), and this year I’ll be sharing more top books in my Mood Reader’s Almanac. But I also like just putting together my favorite ten books of the year. No release date requirements, no genre specifications, just the best of the best. Today is that list alongside some of my most highly anticipated January releases.
