Perhaps it’s unpatriotic to share a Brit Lit reading list on the 4th of July, but here we are. I just got back from a lovely 10 day trip to Bath, Cornwall, and London where I read almost nothing. I had the best of intentions, but I also have a three year old, so this kind of vacation is just not well setup for reading at this moment in my life. Instead of actually reading, I compiled myself a little list of books I want to read—the ones I’d read if I were spending a couple months in the UK without my kid with ample childcare. My list is primarily focused on books that are somehow connected to Bath, Cornwall, or London because those are the paces I traveled. And today I’m sharing what I want to read and why I want to read it with all of you, in case you’d like to spend some time indulging your inner anglophile.
